Athletic Trainer Full Time

Responsibilities
Care for injuries using therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques
Evaluate readiness to return to daily activities, and coordinate clearances when necessary
Provide athletic training outreach and medical care to assigned location
Responsible for athletic training special event coverage when scheduled
Maintain a line of communication with the team physician(s) regarding athletic health care and recommended treatment/rehabilitation for all athletic injuries
Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room
Maintain communication with parents on the care & treatment of their student-athlete
File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents
Maintain a daily treatment log
Oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintain an up-to-date inventory
Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
Qualification
Required
No previous experience required
Degree in athletic training/sports medicine from CAATE approved institution
NATA certification in good standing
Valid Driver's License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding
Annual MVR may be required per policy and procedure; background reports may be ran as needed throughout the course of employment
Must be able to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements
Knowledge of the AthenaNet and medical specialty/terminology
Current state license in Athletic Training
This position may require irregular work hours
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
This position may require travel to and from satellite clinics as assigned. Please note, if assigned for travel, this position will require a valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire (MVR will be screened on an annual basis)
Preferred
2 years' experience as a certified athletic trainer
Master's Degree in related field
