Responsibilities
Design products for clients in the life science industries
Be immersed in the entire product development process bringing ideas to reality
Conceptual design on paper, transferring those ideas into CAD using Solidworks
Work with tools in the shop (4 axis cnc, injection molding machine, laser cutters, 3D printers, etc.) to build and test functional prototypes
Qualification
Required
B.S.M.E
1-5+ years design experience
Technical project management experience
Broad technical background and the desire to learn
Experience with a wide range of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, etc.)
Experience designing electromechanical systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
Experience designing biomedical products (familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA design controls is a plus)
