Responsibilities

Develop, test, implement, and manage technological solutions such as process automation, electronic data capture, and EDI transactions
Implement and monitor data flows to EMSMC from customers, vendors, and third-party data sources to ensure accurate and timely business processes
Work with vendors to create and test new data connections and ensure jobs are monitored post implementation
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues with external parties to ensure optimized data flows
Analyze complex business problems and suggest best-practice technology solutions
Determine data integration best practices and strategy for vendor and client application and data schemas
Build and manage data solutions within EMSMC’s cloud architecture (AWS)
Participate in application development and process improvement as requested by other departments
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all applications and IT-related processes, as well as an understanding of operational use and functionality of applications
Resolve user-reported issues that have been escalated by other Help Desk staff using available tools and following procedures and policies
Perform and document pipeline test cases/plans and ongoing application analyses, such as root cause analysis, gap analysis, and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis
Participate in all phases of IT projects as needed such as new application deployment and enhancements, following both agile and standard SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies
Escalate concerns to appropriate management in a timely manner
Maintain and support business applications and technical processes
Participate in providing users and EMS|MC employees with additional knowledge of internal and vendor applications, as well as the surrounding processes and integrated tools
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree in Applied Science in Information Systems, or 5+ years of related experience
Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to analyzing and resolving issues
Strong understanding of foundational SQL and database architecture, including developing queries to support automation and reporting; experience with PostgreSQL preferred
Experience with automation technologies, including third-party automation tools and PowerShell scripting
Ability to learn, interpret, and work within specific client and business requirements while adapting to changing priorities, procedures, and environments
Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and work independently
Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients

Preferred

Understanding of the medical billing landscape, including payors, vendor management, and client engagement
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, liability, and tertiary payment methods
Experience with automation and data integration tools such as Forta Automate, third-party ETL tools, and advanced SQL; proficiency in Python a plus
Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture and services including, S3, Lamba, and Glue
Experience using Jira, Smartsheet, and other project management or work tracking tools
