Responsibilities
Perform onsite and remote installations of security access control, mobile credential, and campus card systems
Configure, test, and troubleshoot access control software and hardware, including CS Gold Access, Carrier/S2, Genea, HID, Assa Abloy, and other third-party integrations
Configure Mobile Credential and Access Control components within the TSE ecosystem
Analyze customer environments, databases, and network configurations to meet site-specific requirements
Support system upgrades, migrations, and complex implementation projects with guidance from senior team members as needed
Provide expert installation services for third-party integrated hardware
Understand hardware components to support troubleshooting and escalation with hardware vendors
Escalate complex technical issues appropriately through Support, Development, and vendor channels
Collaborate with Project Managers and Implementation Coordinators to review project documentation and develop site-specific installation and training agendas
Assist the Project Management team with coordination of hardware shipments
Provide daily status updates during onsite engagements and document issues, risks, and resolutions
Deliver professional client training and consultative services to ensure optimal system functionality and adoption
Transition open issues and documentation to Support or Project teams following go-live
Assist with special projects, including quality assurance, testing, documentation, database administration, and maintenance programming
Submit weekly workload and utilization metrics using company time-tracking tools
Meet established goals for utilization, customer satisfaction, and project completion forecasts as set by management
Qualification
Required
Experience installing and configuring applications in Microsoft Windows Server environments
Working knowledge of networking concepts with the ability to troubleshoot firewall and connectivity issues
Familiarity with security access control systems, mobile credentials, and third-party access hardware
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of MS SQL, Oracle, LDAP, Shibboleth, and PCI compliance standards is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including client-facing training delivery
Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines
Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable managing changing priorities and technologies
Strong client-focus with a consultative mindset
Bachelor's degree in a technical or IT-related field, or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of experience implementing security access control, campus card, or related systems
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, and working in tight spaces
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including up to 20 days per month during peak periods
Comfortable working in environments such as attics, basements, crawl spaces, and rooftops
Preferred
Experience in higher education, campus card environments, or large-scale security system implementations
Experience with CS Gold Access, Carrier/S2, and/or Genea
Experience with large-scale security system migrations
Experience working in large higher education card office systems
