Assistant Director of Creative Strategy
Vanderbilt University is seeking an Assistant Director of Creative Strategy to lead the Marketing and Communications team at the Owen Graduate School of Management. Responsibilities
Lead all photo and video production from concept through final delivery
Develop visual narratives through storyboarding, scripting, and creative direction
Oversee graphic design to ensure innovative, modern, and brand-aligned execution
Execute and manage pre-production, production, and post-production workflows
Translate brand, content, and marketing strategy into high-impact multimedia storytelling
Capture high-quality content during key moments and milestones
Build campaign-ready creative assets for use across paid, owned, and earned channels
Pilot new and emerging formats including short-form video, motion graphics, audio, and brand activations
Maintain production standards, asset management, and efficient workflows
Use analytics and performance data to guide creative investment, optimization, and experimentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Strong creative direction and multimedia storytelling skills are required
Demonstrated experience leading photo and video production from concept through post-production is required
Hands-on experience with video, photography, and multimedia production tools is required
Experience producing content for paid media and brand campaigns is required
Experience managing creative workflows, timelines, and resources is required
Preferred
Experience in higher education or mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred
Experience supervising creative staff is preferred
