CLASSIFICATION ANALYST (Personnel Analyst II) - Range 14/NON

Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the classification system and position evaluation process for positions within the Municipality of Anchorage
Analyzes and evaluates requests for establishment of new positions, organizational structure modifications, and position description updates
Recommends classification for new and existing positions to ensure competitive, justifiable and fair compensation for employees
Analyses and assigns SAP relationships and SAP security roles pertinent to positions
Provides advice to management in reorganizations, position classification, position and organization structure and design; conducts complex position studies, class series studies, salary surveys, and special studies, as required to support management, collective bargaining agreements, the Municipal Manager, the Mayor and a wide variety of purposes
Other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and six (6) years of human resources experience
Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four (4) years of human resources experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline and two (2) years of human resources experience
