Paralegal – Franchise & Corporate Operations

The Paralegal – Franchise & Corporate Operations plays a key role in supporting the legal, compliance, and documentation needs of the franchise development and corporate operations teams, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the system.

Responsibilities
Support the franchise development process by preparing, tracking, and managing franchise-related legal documentation, including franchise agreements, amendments, transfers, renewals, and related materials
Assist with preparation, updates, and annual maintenance of Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs). Coordinate state franchise registrations, renewals, exemptions, and compliance filings in collaboration with outside counsel
Support legal aspects of new franchise sales, ensuring documentation is complete, executed accurately, and retained in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements
Independently manage assigned projects, deadlines, and compliance calendars, proactively identifying issues and ensuring timely resolution with minimal supervision
Work closely with franchise development, operations, finance, and leadership to align legal documentation and processes with business objectives
Serve as a point of contact for franchisees for routine franchise documentation and compliance questions, ensuring consistency and professionalism
Assist with entity management, corporate records, and internal legal documentation as needed to support overall corporate operations
Help develop, document, and refine franchise and legal processes, templates, and systems to support a scalable and efficient franchise development function
Qualification
Required
Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and corporate legal experience
Working knowledge of franchise documentation, compliance requirements, and multi-state filings
Proven ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Preferred
3+ years of paralegal experience, with franchise system or in-house corporate experience strongly preferred
