Team Leader- Packing

Wakefield Thermal is seeking a Team Leader for their packing operations. The role involves overseeing packaging processes, ensuring quality, and promoting teamwork while training new employees and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

100% inspects work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non-conformities
Uses picks, files and chisels to remove excess metal
Read and interpret work instructions correctly
Defines area for part marking and marks if applicable
Wrap work pieces in appropriate wrapping materials
Place wrapped parts in shipping containers
Under general supervision oversees and monitors production of department employees to ensure quality, productivity and safety
Assists in the training of new employees and answers questions regarding work standards and procedures
Responsible for cleanliness of work area and the general housekeeping of the Company
Reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Management
Keeps the supervisor informed of broken or damaged tooling that needs to be replaced
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)
1-2 years of related experience
Must be able to read blueprints
