Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
Managing programs: Managing EHS programs, policies, and procedures
Training employees: Coordinating occupational safety training for employees
Responding to emergencies: Responding to EHS emergencies
Conducting inspections: Completing workplace and equipment inspections
Investigating incidents: Conducting employee incident investigations
Monitoring exposure: Monitoring exposure to hazardous chemicals
Tracking incidents: Tracking the number of incidents and producing reports
Collaborating with departments: Working collaboratively with different departments to ensure workplace safety
Oversees all Hazardous Chemical processing of waste in compliance with state and federal regulations
Assisting with government inspections: Assisting with any government inspections
Manage and complete all waste streams based on all EPA regulations
Lead internal Safety Committee
Work Cross functional with department heads to ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor of Science degree
Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences
RCRA Certification
DOT Hazmat Certification
OSHA Certification
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
