Responsibilities
Responsibilities include engineering and developing the scope of work, preparing bid documents, vendor selection, securing internal funding, preparing purchase requisitions and in field project management of contractors and engineering design agents
Additional duties include maintaining project quality, schedule, budget, contract requirements, subcontractors’ compliance, suppliers, estimates, documentation, close out, turnover and other duties required to execute
Candidate will be responsible for oversight of day-to-day construction activities and the successful execution of multiple simultaneous projects
Candidate will be responsible to develop ROM estimates and business cases to obtain funding
Candidate must possess excellent written and communication skills to effectively run meeting and report project status to management and senior leadership
Duties include: engineering analysis, floor loading, underground structure loads for heavy components, rehabilitation of columns, beams, reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete, column sizing, and rehabilitation of deteriorated members
Qualification
Required
BS (or higher) in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering
5+ years' experience in engineering or construction project management
Preferred
3+ years or more experience in leadership position in an engineering or project management environment
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Connecticut
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience with CMMS software Corrigo, Oracle and Procure
Candidate must possess a questioning attitude and desire to continue to learn the disciplines
Candidate must possess excellent written and communication skills
Candidate must be organized and be able to manage multiple priorities
Experience with Microsoft: Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Word
