Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations, load analysis, and system sizing for electrical power distribution, lighting, and control systems
Review, approve, and seal engineering designs, drawings, and calculations in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Develop technical specifications for equipment and installation
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met
Conduct and document site visits, inspections, and as-built verifications as needed
Provide technical review of engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (ABET-accredited)
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama (required); additional state licensure strongly preferred
Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in industrial or heavy facility environments
Experience with power distribution, lighting, and control systems design
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing, including continuing education requirements
Preferred
Familiarity with analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar) is a plus
