Billing Systems Specialist

The Billing Systems Specialist will be responsible for managing the practice management system, optimizing billing workflows, and ensuring effective collaboration between various teams to support billing and revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison with Apero, our practice management system vendor, to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and track system requests
Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and the Product Team to define and validate reporting and data needs related to billing and revenue operations
Optimize system workflows, configurations, and integrations to improve efficiency and reduce billing errors
Troubleshoot system issues, partnering with internal IT/Product, external vendors, and BI teams to coordinate resolution
Document processes, system updates, and best practices to support team training and knowledge sharing
Provide strategic input on new system solutions and upgrades to enhance revenue cycle performance
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, especially in billing systems or practice management tools
Hands-on experience with practice management systems; Apero experience strongly preferred
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
Familiarity with healthcare compliance and data reporting requirements
