Chief People Officer

Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO and executive team to design and implement a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with the company’s transformation roadmap
Lead organizational design initiatives that clarify structure, optimize decision-making, and enhance collaboration across the enterprise
Serve as a thought partner on business performance, workforce planning, and operational priorities
Champion a values-driven culture that connects purpose, performance, and belonging
Reimagine engagement, recognition, and communication strategies to strengthen the employee experience across restaurants and the support center
Act as the brand’s chief culture officer, modeling inclusion, transparency, and accountability
Build a talent philosophy that emphasizes growth, internal mobility, and leadership readiness
Oversee recruiting, learning and development, and succession planning programs
Develop next-generation leadership capability through coaching, feedback, and scalable development frameworks
Lead HR operations, HRIS, compensation, and benefits functions to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability
Introduce data-driven people analytics to inform decisions on retention, performance, and workforce optimization
Strengthen performance management and feedback systems that align goals, behaviors, and outcomes
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations, with a strong focus on multi-state restaurant operations
Build proactive employee relations and training frameworks to mitigate risk and strengthen trust
Partner closely with Legal and Operations to develop policies and conduct workplace investigations

Required

10–15 years of progressive HR leadership, including experience at the executive level in a multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality organization
Proven success leading organizational transformation, culture evolution, or large-scale change initiatives
Deep understanding of the dynamics of hourly, multi-location, and frontline workforces
Experience building scalable infrastructure—HR systems, compensation structures, and development programs
Strong partnership orientation with Operations, Finance, and Marketing leaders
Must be willing to travel
