Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of scientists, technicians, and support staff
Create a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes engagement, accountability, and professional growth
Oversee multiple R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
Implement best practices in planning, resource allocation, and risk management
Provide expertise in Energy & Infrastructure coatings, including formulation, testing, and performance evaluation
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements
Inspire and energize the team to achieve ambitious goals and deliver innovative solutions
Organize team-building activities and foster a culture of collaboration and creativity
Communicate project updates, technical findings, and strategic plans clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and strategic partners
Represent the R&D function in cross-functional meetings and external collaborations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Minimum 7+ years of experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in coatings technology (infrastructure and architectural applications preferred)
Strong project management skills (PMP certification is a plus)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
