They are seeking an experienced Sewer and Drain Technician to perform various tasks related to sewer and drain work while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Operate equipment in a safe manner
Wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and co-workers
Provide solutions to sewer and drain problems
Participation in required staff meetings and training
Complete and submit paperwork daily
Keep vans clean inside and out
Report any issues or incidents to supervisor
Maintain a clean drivers license
Understand Balkan’s health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
Compliance with All Policies including: Safety, Safety, Safety!
Qualification
Required
Valid New York State Driver's License; clean driver's license and good driving record
A good working knowledge of septic systems, sewer and drain systems and underground piping
Able to easily navigate the boroughs of NYC
Able to handle physical workload
Strong work ethic
This is a safety sensitive position, a drug and alcohol test will be required
Understand Balkan's health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations
Compliance with All Policies including: Safety, Safety, Safety!
Preferred
Plumbing knowledge a plus
OSHA SST
