Responsibilities

Lead Month-end and quarter-end close activities for assigned Group Benefits products, ensuring timely and accurate financial results
Create Journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules that maintain compliance with GAAP and statutory requirements
Oversee The integrity of financial reporting processes, including adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance standards
Manage Documentation and deliverables for internal and external audits, providing clear analysis and explanations to auditors and stakeholders
Develop Written analyses of financial results, variance explanations, and supporting schedules that inform leadership decisions and drive operational excellence
Coordinate Collaboration across Finance and business teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards

Required

2+ years accounting experience in public or corporate setting
Bachelor's degree in related field
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of organization
Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter
Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions independently; escalate issues appropriately
Ability to participate in interactive meetings on a regular and predictable basis

Preferred

CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
Experience in health insurance industry preferred
Experience with Netsuite
