They are seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide patient care supervision, lead therapeutic groups, and participate in crisis intervention under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities
Milieu management and continuous patient care supervision, interactions & role modeling to patients; ensure a safe environment, lead therapeutic MHT patient groups; conduct Q15 rounds and one to one patient supervision as well as participate in crisis intervention situations as needed
Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient and maintain awareness of patient’s individualized plan of care including goals and interventions
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or equivalent
At least one (1) year of previous experience in a healthcare setting and/or previous behavioral health experience strongly preferred
Current BLS certification required
Must complete and maintain training Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) (aggression management, crisis intervention and restraint training). Training may be obtained during new hire orientation
Must pass competency exams within 90 days of hire
May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
Must be able to prioritize workload, effectively multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced environment
Excellent listening, communication, prioritization and follow through skills with strong focus on providing high quality patient care
Continuous verbal and written communication, hearing ordinary conversation
Occasionally hearing high pitched or low-pitched sounds
Continuous firm/simple grasping and fine manipulating of both hands
