Business Intelligence Architect
Blue Link Wireless is seeking a Power BI Front-End Architect with strong analytical and AI enablement capabilities to lead the design, development, and governance of Power BI reporting across the organization. This highly visible, hands-on role focuses on translating complex business questions into intuitive dashboards and analytical narratives while partnering with IT and data teams to drive insight maturity across the organization.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards and analytical reports that support sales, operations, and executive leadership
Translate business requirements and analytical questions into clear, actionable, and user-friendly visualizations
Apply analytical thinking to identify trends, anomalies, performance drivers, and improvement opportunities within datasets
Leverage AI-assisted features in Power BI (e.g., Copilot, Smart Narratives, Q&A, anomaly detection) to enhance insight discovery and executive storytelling
Establish and enforce Power BI governance standards, including naming conventions, report lifecycle management, access control, and versioning
Optimize report performance, including query efficiency, data volume management, and effective visual design
Implement and manage security, including Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, and access controls
Partner with backend IT/data teams to ensure analytical requirements align with data models, definitions, and mapping standards
Develop standardized visualization templates, UX patterns, and insight frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability
Drive adoption through training, documentation, and coaching business users on analytics best practices and self-service BI
Act as a thought partner to leadership by proactively surfacing insights, KPIs, and analytical opportunities—not just responding to report requests
Design and implement scalable Power BI and analytics architecture aligned with enterprise and AI-readiness standards
Own Power BI governance, including workspace strategy, lifecycle management, naming conventions, and version control
Build and optimize complex Power BI dashboards with strong emphasis on performance, usability, and insight clarity
Incorporate AI-driven insights, trend analysis, and forecasting concepts where appropriate (in partnership with data teams)
Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure consistent data definitions and analytically sound datasets
Troubleshoot and resolve report performance issues, data refresh failures, and Power BI service incidents
Provide technical and analytical leadership to BI developers and business users, raising overall data literacy
Qualification
Required
5+ years of Power BI report and dashboard design experience in an enterprise environment
Advanced knowledge of Power BI best practices for report architecture, performance, governance, and usability
Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M)
Demonstrated ability to analyze business performance data and translate findings into insights and recommendations
Experience managing Power BI Service, workspaces, datasets, and security models
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting enterprise reporting for multi-location retail, sales, or operations-driven organizations
Preferred
Experience with AI-enabled BI features, including Microsoft Copilot for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
Familiarity with Azure Synapse, SQL Server, or cloud data warehouse platforms
Experience with predictive, trend, or variance analysis concepts (formal data science not required)
Background in wireless retail, telecom, or multi-unit retail environments
Experience with BI governance frameworks and analytics operating models
