Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and cold brews, ensuring consistent taste and quality
Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service
Operate coffee brewing equipment, grinders, and other barista tools with precision and expertise
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and in good working condition
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the coffee menu, including seasonal specials and promotions
Engage with customers, offering recommendations, answering questions, and providing information about our coffee offerings
Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including restocking supplies, cleaning, and opening/closing procedures
Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe environment for both customers and staff
Continuously strive to enhance your knowledge and skills in the art of coffee-making
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced coffee shop or airport environment
Proficient knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and coffee-related equipment
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with composure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus
A genuine passion for coffee and a desire to deliver an outstanding coffee experience to customers
