Responsibilities
Install, build, deploy, upgrade, and patch Oracle components including RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, and Partitioning
Manage replication and failover (GoldenGate or HVR), including setup and troubleshooting
Perform all database work in production environments
Monitor systems (sessions, locks, logs, traces, disk space, performance, and uptime)
Ensure production availability, including backup, recovery, refresh, security, and DR setup/maintenance
Handle database recovery during log full or system crash scenarios
Perform routine DBA activities: schema creation, auditing, access control, space/storage management, object management, and maintenance
Execute performance analysis, query monitoring, and tuning
Automate DBA operations using Shell, Python, Ansible, Go, or similar tools
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as an Oracle DBA / Oracle SME / Database Engineer
Deep Oracle infrastructure expertise (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, Partitioning)
Experience with replication technologies
Strong Linux experience
Ability to write and deploy SQL patches
Strong communication, attention to detail, proactive and urgent mindset
Preferred
Redis or NodeSQL
NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Sybase, HANA)
Exposure to GCP
