Responsibilities

Design lab changes for new test articles and integration that support platform upgrades
Design lab changes to existing systems to resolve Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) incorporating new technology
Collaborate with the cyber security team to make design changes that support cyber security requirements
Develop and support the generation of hardware modification and configuration planning
Direct material procurement for lab design upgrades, modifications, and assembly oversight
Create test plans and procedures, perform engineering verification, analyze test results, and create test reports
Performs classification and de-classification of test equipment to support lab users
Support software engineers in the lab environment, troubleshooting laboratory and test-related problems
Contribute to proposal development for new business opportunities
Candidate must be willing to travel for short periods

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering and working on complex systems
2+ years of experience troubleshooting avionic equipment, general electronics, and/or aircraft systems
Experience in a role that required creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
Candidate must be willing to travel for short periods
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Preferred

3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or other Engineering discipline
Experience with simulation systems used to test avionics software
Ability to create or modify electrical and mechanical drawings per ASME Y14 standards
Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Experience with CATIA V5 drafting tools, Linux, and Windows operation systems is desirable
Experience using Enovia for drawing change management
Experience using Product Lifecycle Management tool CMPRO
Avionics experience with the B-1 Bomber or another platform
