Progyny Care Advocate - LPC/LCSW

Responsibilities
Provides benefit education and navigation specific to each participant according to their employer’s benefit program
Supports participant through developing a childcare plan, leave preparation, and return-to-work support
Completes mental health screenings to assess appropriate referrals
Effectively manages caseload, which may include scheduling appointments or providing referrals for mental health resources or other benefits specific to the participant’s identified priorities
Partner with referred participants to address specific areas of concern related to postpartum planning, child development, educational decisions, behavioral concerns, work/life balance, career advancement, and other common stressors faced by working parents of children ages 0-12
Assess participant and family’s well-being and presenting concerns to develop an individual plan of care an appropriate next step
This role will serve as an educational and coaching resource with clinical expertise, not a substitute for medical or psychological care
Design and deliver expert-led discussion groups on specific topics of interest to new and working parents
Identify and refer participants and families to regional/local professionals for ongoing care
Empower participants to advocate for themselves and their child(ren) with other key stakeholders
Respond to all incoming participant requests within 24 business hours
Document all participant interactions in an accurate and timely manner
Develop content (articles, webinars, mini-courses, marketing campaigns, and more)
Attend Progyny webinars and in-person events to inform employee populations about supports offered to working parents
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or sociology and active professional and/or LPC license in the state that the candidate resides
Experience working with children and families in a behavioral or educational setting
Strong understanding of child development milestones and related resources
Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly
Excellent customer service, strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills - ability to communicate accurately and concisely
Ability to effectively manage evolving priorities, multiple projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience working with growing families, working parents, women who are pregnant or struggling with becoming pregnant, families that are adopting, and/or working families of children 0-12 (0-18 preferred)
Bilingual preferred but not required
