Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and keeps the Shift Supervisor informed of condition and changes
Is knowledgeable in all aspects of extruder operation for the assigned lines
Promotes the safe use of equipment and adherence to the plant safety rules
Interacts, as instructed, with maintenance to minimize the time required for equipment repairs and scheduled shutdowns
Has the main focus on quality, production rates and problem areas affecting the process
Is able to do all extrusion line set-up-free-foam, Celuka, and Deck Board for the assigned line
Is able to troubleshoot the following items:
1. Processing condition on all products
2. Screw conveyor system
3. Extruder
4. All downstream equipment
Performs additional tasks as defined by the Shift Supervisor
Inspects the finished product for quality problems and takes corrective action to resolve these problems
Keeps the necessary records of production equipment, conditions, and rates, as instructed. Submit a shift report to the Shift Supervisor
Is capable of performing the Supervisor’s duties on an interim basis
Able to pinpoint troubleshooting and make adjustments accordingly
Be responsible for all equipment and tools
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace
Qualification
Required
Good oral and written communication skills
Mechanical aptitude
1 year extrusion experience
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required
Preferred
High school education or equivalent preferred
