HR Specialist
Chrysalis Center Inc. is seeking a passionate and innovative Human Resources professional to join their team. The HR Specialist will support employees across the organization while ensuring accurate, confidential, and compliant HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and benefits management.

Responsibilities
Welcome and onboard new employees by coordinating and leading agency-wide orientations, ensuring all training and onboarding requirements are completed smoothly and on time
Manage the recruitment and job posting process from start to finish, including internal and external postings, resume review, and compliance with EEO/AA tracking requirements
Maintain and manage the HRIS with a focus on data accuracy, reporting, and seamless coordination with payroll
Ensure all employee personnel and medical files are complete, accurate, and maintained with the highest level of confidentiality
Coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment process, serve as a liaison with insurance brokers, and support employee access to benefits portals
Develop and support employee wellness initiatives in collaboration with health insurance partners
Serve as a point of contact for HR-related union matters and participate in collective bargaining activities as needed
Process HR documentation accurately and timely, including benefits enrollment, COBRA notices, employment verifications, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and leaves of absence
Support compliance efforts with state and federal regulations, contractual obligations, and accreditation standards, including maintaining required legal postings
Provide confidential administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership, including reports, documentation, and maintenance of HR manuals and forms
Uphold all Chrysalis Center policies, procedures, and values while contributing positively to our workplace culture
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational success
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of Human Resources experience
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR best practices
Experience working with HRIS platforms
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Preferred
SHRM Certification a plus
PayCom experience is a plus
Prior experience in a unionized environment preferred
