VP of Operations
Tint is a company that enables SaaS platforms and marketplaces to unlock growth through embedded insurance. As the Vice President of Operations, you will lead core operational functions and shape high-impact initiatives across various departments, while establishing systems that support growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead core operational functions: Customer Support, Claims, Agency Ops, and Legal & Compliance
Build and formalize SOPs and scalable workflows to support existing programs and launch many new ones
Create the vision for a modern Operations team, including AI-augmented execution to drive quality and efficiency
Establish and monitor KPIs that demonstrate operational excellence and customer impact
Support the full lifecycle of new product offerings by creating reusable operational playbooks across insurance products
Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and execute operations initiatives
Translate customer + policyholder feedback into clear business requirements for Product and Engineering
Qualification
Required
15+ years leading Operations in high-growth technology companies, scaling teams and business units end-to-end
5+ years in insurance with deep understanding of insurance ops + compliance-driven workflows
Experience operating within an MGA model (or equivalent exposure working closely with MGAs/carriers)
Strong strategic and executional range—comfortable shifting between big-picture planning and hands-on implementation
Analytical and adaptable: you can deep-dive complex operational problems, operate in ambiguity, and drive clear outcomes
Excellent communicator and cross-functional leader; strong stakeholder management skills
Proven people leader who builds high-performing teams and drives accountability
Able to travel roughly monthly for company and leadership offsites/retreats
Preferred
Bonus if you bring carrier-side perspective and/or call center / customer ops experience
Experience with ML/AI and automation in ops
Experience with APIs, SaaS, and/or Enterprise products
Strong business acumen (MBA, insurance designations, or equivalent ownership)
