Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate aerial telecom crews performing installation, repair, and maintenance of aerial fiber, coax, and copper networks
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and local/state requirements
Conduct daily job briefings, tailgate meetings, and site inspections
Monitor productivity, quality of work, and adherence to project timelines
Read and interpret construction prints, maps, and work orders
Perform quality control inspections and address deficiencies promptly
Coordinate traffic control, permitting, and right-of-way requirements as needed
Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to project management
Train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel
Investigate incidents, near misses, and damage claims; complete required reports
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of experience in aerial telecommunications construction
Strong knowledge of aerial plant construction (strand, lashing, over-lashing, pole transfers, make-ready)
Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and DOT regulations
Ability to read construction drawings and utility maps
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
Prior supervisory or lead crew experience preferred
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
First Aid/CPR certification
Experience with fiber optic installation and testing
Bucket truck and line-truck operation experience
