$65K/yr - $88K/yrBrown and Caldwell is currently seeking an entry-level engineer to join the Building Mechanical team. This role involves supporting various building mechanical projects in the water and wastewater industry, working alongside senior technical staff.
Construction
Responsibilities
Interact directly with Portfolio Design Managers, Portfolio Discipline Leaders and Local Leaders to determine project staffing and availability
Perform engineering design work with the building mechanical group
Work on engineering designs preparing reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for various projects
Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
Assist with studies, permitting and alternative analysis
Support the preparation and review of technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents and deliverables
Coordinate and communicate with others on projects to ensure proper and timely execution of the work
Participate in BC’s QA/QC process
Duties may also include field activities such as site investigations
Data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation
Help review work of external partners
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
Interest in HVAC and plumbing piping design
Experience using or familiarity with CAD software (Revit and AutoCad)
Good written and verbal communication skills essential
Willing to occasionally travel to project sites (less than 10% expected)
