Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources into SQL Server and Snowflake
Integrate data from diverse sources, including on-premises databases, cloud-based services, and third-party applications
Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions in SQL Server and Snowflake to support data processing and reporting
Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design and implement data models that meet business requirements and optimize performance
Monitor and optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies
Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and system architecture
Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs
Diagnose and resolve issues related to ETL processes, data integration, and database performance
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in ETL development with a strong background in SQL Server and Snowflake
Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and Snowflake SQL. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or equivalent
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and dimensional modeling
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus
Preferred
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and their integration with Snowflake
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
