Responsibilities

Develop and document requirements required to design an automotive system
Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency to standard methodologies
Oversee requirements development with other activities
Provide support to other specialists for root cause analysis
Strong ability to expertly capture and analyze empirical data
Design Tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements
Stay on top of industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Identify and document system vulnerabilities and craft mitigation action plans; track corrective actions

Qualification

Industrial automation experienceElectrical Engineering degreePLCsIndustrial networking protocolsHMI software proficiencyRobotic experienceRoot cause analysisData analysisDesign improvement testing

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience with industrial automation or controls systems

Preferred

Proficiency in industrial networking protocols – Profibus, ProfiNet, TCP/IP and EtherNetIP
HMI – Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell FactoryTalk View
PLC – Rockwell ControlLogix and/or Siemens 300 families
Servo drive systems – Siemens G120 and S120 families, and Rockwell Powerflex and Kinetix
Robotic experience – Fanuc
This position may require overtime and off-shift production support
