Housing and Community Development Representative II
The California Department of Housing & Community Development is dedicated to promoting safe, affordable, and sustainable communities for all Californians. The Housing and Community Development Representative II is responsible for administering complex grant agreements and managing state-funded grant programs to ensure compliance with requirements and timelines.

Responsibilities
Independently perform all actions associated with grant management, including file maintenance, database input, monitoring activities, record keeping and reconciliations with accuracy
Responsible for the fiscal and contract management of state funded grant programs including monitoring and clearing of Standard Agreement (SA) conditions, processing of fund disbursement requests, monitoring of grantee reporting requirements, maintaining contract files and providing technical assistance to grantees to ensure programmatic and statutory requirements and timelines are met

It is a requirement to submit work experience, dates, and hours worked, contact names and phone numbers of supervisors on the state application
HCD conducts pre-employment background checks on all new to HCD or returning to HCD candidates
This position requires a background check to be conducted in California and cleared prior to being hired
HCD utilizes the federal E-Verify system to verify employment authorization in the United States
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility may apply
