Responsibilities
Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful
Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current
Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity
Testifies at legal proceedings as required
Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged off loans
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Six months to two years of similar or related experience
Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures
Job requires a two-year college level education of language, math, and reasoning skills
Three or more years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable
Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education
