Responsibilities
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems in stressful situations
Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
Optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware
Install and configure software and hardware
Create Incident Reports on system issues and performing system data collection
Perform and provide server, workstation, and application expertise to government, civilian and contractor users
Provide support to other work centers and test community
Travel to off-site location with the supported community user
Escort and provide support to engineers and maintenance personnel
Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers
Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+)
4 years or more of general work experience
1.5 years or more of direct work experience
Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments; Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware; VMWare and system visualization; and Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
Red-hat or Linux experience/knowledge
Understanding of virtual machine and Remote Desktop
Windows System Administration experience or Background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital
Preferred
Associate of Science Degree in a computer field
Virtual Machine Certifications
Cyber and Space Operations experience
Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols
Remedy trouble ticket experience
