Irving Tissue is a leading manufacturer of premium quality tissue products, and they are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for an 8-month contract. The role involves assisting with payroll processes, collaborating with various departments, and administering HR programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assist with payroll and payroll related processes

Work collaboratively with team members from various departments on a variety of ad hoc requests

Utilize our human resources information system (HCM) and maintain data integrity i.e. employee lifecycle changes

Lead and complete special projects

Perform any tasks associated with administering HR programs and initiatives including coordination of recognition, celebrations, employee events and community giving

HR continuous improvement i.e. standard work and digital initiatives

Help coordinate interview scheduling

Coordinate and attend job fairs and other recruitment events, as required

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma / GED

Knowledge of FMLA, disability, and NY Paid Family Leave regulations

Demonstrated problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Customer focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills

Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and Outlook

Preferred

Previous experience in Human Resources
