Responsibilities
Defend public entities in municipal liability, civil rights, tort claims, and land use litigation
Appear before state and federal courts and administrative agencies (DOT, DEP, DCA, DOL)
Draft dispositive motions, discovery responses, and appellate briefs
Advise municipalities on compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Handle contract disputes, zoning challenges, and eminent domain matters
Maintain direct client relationships with government officials and provide strategic, cost-effective counsel
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of municipal/government litigation experience (defense-side preferred)
Strong courtroom and appellate skills
Comfort advising public entity clients and handling complex statutory/regulatory issues
Admitted in New Jersey (additional admissions a plus)
Collaborative, client-focused mindset with interest in long-term growth
