LTAMDS Production Chief Engineer (Onsite)

They are seeking a Chief Engineer for the LTAMDS Production team who will be responsible for the technical execution of design, development, production, and delivery of radar systems while maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Must be willing to travel in support of HW and Program activities both domestically and internationally
Assist in management of product vision, strategy, and goals to align to meet Programs/Customers milestones; facilitate conflict resolution
Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the production programs and other functions to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership
Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution
Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities and other continuous improvement efforts
Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables
Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of issue resolution
Requires ability to travel domestically 25% of the time
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior, relevant experience
Experience leading and conducting trade studies, system development and design, systems requirements development and management, system integration and test, and production support
Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution
Experience leading engineering teams and leading proposals and EACs
Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets
Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance
Preferred
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline
Direct experience with radars, components of radars, and radar subsystems
Direct experience with Formal TDP release
Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience in leading and executing the design and development of complex system architectures
Demonstrated experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production
Demonstrated experience and ability to interact with and influence Department of Defense (DoD), and/or commercial and non-traditional customer sets
Proven ability to develop effective external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business
Direct experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management
Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
Experience with technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM)
