Responsibilities
Review property acquisition appraisals performed by others
Perform staff appraisals for property acquisitions
Supervise negotiations, relocations and closings with property owners for rights needed on improvement projects
Keep abreast of federal policies and regulations regarding acquisition of right-of-way and relocation of individuals and businesses
Consult with engineers, appraisers, real estate representatives, attorneys, government officials and the general public relating to land acquisition work
Provide technical expertise and assistance to staff on appraisals, complex negotiations and land acquisition work
Oversee the preparation of legal descriptions used in appraisals for land acquisitions
Serve in the Manager, Right-of-Way absence
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree and one year of related experience
Requires a Real Estate Brokers License by the State of Missouri
Requires State of Missouri Real Estate Appraiser Residential, Licensed or General Certification
