Responsibilities
Analyze market trends and production schedules to accurately forecast material needs and develop effective purchasing strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable delivery of quality materials and negotiating favorable terms
Manage the end-to-end purchase order process, from initiation to delivery, and maintain optimal inventory levels
Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and provide timely updates on material availability, pricing, and delivery schedules
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to enhance profitability
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment (ideally synthetic materials or related industries)
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze market trends, supplier data, and inventory levels
Proficiency in forecasting material requirements and using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of inventory management
