Responsibilities

Lead business development initiatives to expand Fluence’s market presence and drive adoption of energy storage and digital solutions
Own strategic customer relationships and guide them through the full commercial lifecycle
Shape deal strategy, structure transactions, and quantify customer value using Fluence’s modeling tools
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Sales Engineering, Market Applications, Delivery, and Marketing teams to craft compelling solutions
Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting using CRM platforms
Represent Fluence at conferences, speaking engagements, and strategic forums
Monitor competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and market shifts to inform strategy

Required

10+ years of technical sales, commercial, or business development experience in energy, software, or related fields
Proven track record closing multi‑million‑dollar B2B or utility‑scale transactions
Strong analytical capability, including value modeling and commercial structuring
Deep understanding of utilities, IPPs, developers, and/or enterprise energy customers
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive‑level presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related discipline required

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience with SaaS or digital optimization platforms
Knowledge of energy storage technologies, grid services, and market design
Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across a global matrix organization
Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
