Vice President of Business Development
XtalPi Inc. is an innovative technology platform company dedicated to driving intelligent and digital transformation in the Life Sciences and new materials industries. They are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies, cultivate strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth in the U.S. and European markets.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for pipeline out-licensing and strategic collaborations across the U.S. and European markets, ensuring strict alignment with XtalPi’s global strategic goals and XtalPi’s overall business objectives
Identify, initiate, and cultivate deep, long-term strategic alliances with executive-level stakeholders at leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies in the U.S. and Europe. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value partnerships to drive revenue growth and market expansion
Lead end-to-end pipeline out-licensing efforts, including opportunity identification, partner screening, value proposition development, and deal structuring. Effectively communicate the scientific and commercial value of XtalPi’s AI-driven drug pipeline to potential partners
Proactively monitor and analyze market dynamics, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory developments in the U.S. and European biopharmaceutical sectors. Provide data-driven strategic recommendations to senior leadership to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks
Lead high-stakes negotiations for strategic partnerships, out-licensing agreements, and collaborative development deals. Ensure terms are mutually beneficial, protect the company’s intellectual property and long-term interests, and drive successful deal closure
Collaborate closely with research & development, legal, finance, marketing, and executive teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership strategies. Align internal resources to support deal diligence, contract finalization, and post-deal implementation
Represent XtalPi at key industry conferences, forums, and executive events in the U.S. and Europe. Enhance the company’s brand visibility, thought leadership, and competitive advantage within the global biopharmaceutical ecosystem
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of business development experience in a top-tier CROs or Biotech companies
Proven track record of successful license-out deals and collaborations with top pharmaceuticals, particularly in molecular glue or other small molecular product platforms
Extensive network, resources, or past experience within leading pharmaceutical companies
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D.) is a plus
