Responsibilities
Lead and manage team developing mechanical system design documents package for construction throughout the entire design and review cycle
Engage with clients, stakeholders, and other consultant firms to meet the projects needs and address requirements
Oversee design of fire protection systems such as sprinklers, detection, fire pumps and associated systems within new facility construction and existing facility renovation
Apply engineering judgement and critical thinking to arrive at the most efficient and economical mechanical system design
Participate in design charrettes and coordinate with other disciplines and offices, as well as other consultants and required subconsultants
Employ CAD software and other resources to prepare design plans to include REVIT, Trane Trace and other software modelling
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Registered Fire Protection Professional Engineer (Any State)
10+ years fire protection system design
Strong knowledge of state, local and federal building codes, standards, various building systems and building MEP and Fire Protection System
Proficient in Revit and knowledgeable in other Fire Protection modeling and design software
Ready and willing to lead and grow
