Responsibilities
Review federal and state tax returns and projections for individuals, trusts, non-profits, partnerships, and operating businesses
Prepare detailed memoranda supporting tax positions
Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax strategies and planning
Support Tax Managers and the Tax Director with research, analysis, and project execution
Draft responses to federal and state tax notices
Evaluate and provide feedback on the performance of external tax service providers
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, a family office, or a related legal/tax advisory environment
Experience with a variety of tax return types (individual, trust, partnership, non-profit, etc.)
Proficiency in tax research and compliance tools
Preferred
CPA certification preferred
