$25/hr - $28/hrFILTECH INC. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage and maintain company financial records. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, processing payments, and maintaining meticulous records of financial activities.

Responsibilities
Managing and processing incoming and outgoing payments, including vendor invoices and customer payments
Includes: recording daily checking account deposit and withdraws
Communicating with customers and vendors regarding account statuses, payments, and discrepancies
Managing and processing Filter Sales Division customer invoices to include online billing via customer portals
Responsible for monthly retrieval and reconciliation of facility utilities
Maintaining meticulous records of financial transactions, including journals, receipts, and invoices
Generating and distributing monthly sales reports
Assisting with customer sales tax reporting
Oversee distribution and reconciliation of petty cash
Supporting the CFO with various clerical tasks and administrative duties as needed. To include but not limited to: Delivery Service Cost Analyst
Responsible for coordinating and maintaining company auto and equipment loans
Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal accounting procedures
Work with other departments to create customer and prospect profiles in our ERP system. This includes on-going customer maintenance
All other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience
A solid understanding of accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering and reviewing financial information
Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies and analyze financial data
Identify new perspectives, generate innovative ideas, and develop unique solutions
Familiarity with ERP system, customer online tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
