Responsibilities
Underwrite and market a book of large, complex personal lines risks through broker partners
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues and external distribution partners
Achieve renewal and retention goals through effective negotiation and communication, including occasional in-person meetings with brokers and clients
Identify and pursue new business and cross-sell opportunities
Maintain underwriting files in accordance with authority statements and guidelines
Participate in audits and reviews of specific product lines
Leverage advanced underwriting and producer management tools to meet profitability targets
Conduct independent sales calls to support business development
Recommend updates to guidelines, workflows, and processes
Contribute to marketing and underwriting projects that support organizational growth
Travel as needed for business purposes
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years of experience in personal lines P&C insurance
Experience underwriting large/complex HNW accounts
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Strong knowledge of underwriting practices, policies, and procedures
Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
Proven ability to independently manage a personal book of business
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a collaborative attitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Active P&C and surplus lines licenses, or ability to obtain promptly (with company support)
