Engineering Technician II - Kwajalein Atoll - 3288
RGNext operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of various space lift vehicles. The Engineering Technician II will support operations and maintenance of radar hardware systems, assist in equipment modifications, and maintain safety and operational records.

Responsibilities
Provide operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for L-band and S-band radar hardware systems
Provide support for engineers on implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects
Assist with equipment design modifications, including fabrication, drawing/manual updates, and testing
Maintain current spare parts inventory and procure parts as required
Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance performed
Support daily shift work to fulfill our mission requirement of 24 hrs / 7 days a week operations
Maintain a safety conscious work environment in cooperation with the Safety department
Collaborate with other groups to include complimentary engineering technician disciplines to ensure sensor availability is maximized
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Familiar with and able to operate standard electronic test equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters (DMM), and insulation testers
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams, wiring lists, and assembly prints
Ability to assist with troubleshooting issues in the transmitter subsystem to include both electrical and mechanical components and equipment
Ability to work well with others in the radar group, including management, to meet mission requirements
Good written & verbal communication skills
General computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite
Associates Degree in electronics, RF, other technical field; or a related two year technical school; or equivalent military experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) years experience working in an electronics environment with good electronic knowledge
Willingness and physical ability to work at heights in excess of 50 feet and ability to obtain Climber II training certification within 6 months of hire (local training and testing provided)
Willingness and physical ability to carry equipment weighing 50 pounds
Flexibility to work non-duty hours, weekends, and nights to support mission requirements
Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
This position is Unaccompanied and will reside on the island of Roi-Namur
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
Ability to obtain and maintain a Kwajalein Driver's License
Preferred
Experience with high power transmitters
Understanding of RF and Microwave transmitters and receivers
Ability to perform maintenance on vacuum tubes and high power peak pulsed microwave transmitters
Experience building, terminating, testing, soldering, and troubleshooting cables to include coax RF cables
Experience with operating and maintaining pumps, heat exchangers, and other cooling system components
