Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic communications leader within GCO, partnering across directly with assigned leaders and functions
Develop and deliver impactful internal (and external) communications plans, messages, and tactics aligned with business outcomes
Advise and counsel assigned business partners, including senior executives, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization within GCO and outside of GCO across all operating units and regions
Drive both strategy and execution, establishing clear objectives, and creating content that delivers measurable results
Leverage expertise in organizational communications to engage and inspire employees
Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications initiatives and inform continuous improvement
Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, maintaining high performance under pressure
Travel up to 10% as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 10 years of relevant communications experience, including 7+ years in a people or program managerial role; or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of people or program managerial experience

Preferred

Exceptional writing, editing, and creative skills
Proven ability to advise and influence business partners, manage multiple projects, and excel in fast-paced environments
Ability to work autonomously across multiple stakeholder groups to advance the priorities of GCO
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and desktop publishing applications
Experience working within a highly matrixed, global organization
Creative problem-solving skills and strong business acumen to align communication strategies with business objectives
Willingness to learn and embody the Medtronic brand voice in all communications
High level of accuracy, accountability, and organizational skills
