Responsibilities
Administer and expand FDOT’s infrastructure and cloud environments
Support AWS and Azure platforms in a multi-cloud environment
Perform server configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Manage identity, access controls, security hardening, and compliance
Monitor system availability, performance, and security
Lead and support medium-to-high complexity infrastructure initiatives
Create and manage Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories
Collaborate with developers and other IT teams in a matrixed environment
Recommend infrastructure, server, and software upgrades
Provide daily operational support and ownership of complex issues
Qualification
Required
Must live in Tallahassee or surrounding area and work fully on-site
Must pass FBI Level II background check (vendor pays cost)
Must legally work in the U.S.; resume information is certified under penalty of perjury
5–8+ years total experience in systems engineering or related IT infrastructure roles
3–5+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure / network environments
2–3+ years hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022
2–3+ years hands-on experience with IIS Administration
2–3+ years hands-on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, NTFS permissions, Samba/CIFS
AWS – REQUIRED (strong professional experience)
Microsoft 365 administration
Identity and access management
Azure DevOps (projects, repos, pipelines, org settings)
Strong administration skills (RedHat & Ubuntu), including patching
Preferred
Azure – highly desired
GCP or other cloud platforms – nice to have
Experience with API management, automation tools, batch job services preferred
