Chief Program Officer

Techbridge Girls is an award-winning national nonprofit organization focused on enhancing STEM education for girls across the US. Responsibilities

Drive TBG’s programmatic vision, strategic growth, and partnership initiatives to maximize impact, revenue, and reach
Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programs
Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities through effective partnerships and business development
Lead the programs team and develop and manage program budgets
Ensure high-quality program delivery with measurable outcomes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, funders, board members, and external partners to advance TBG’s mission and strategic goals

Required

10+ years of experience leading education or youth-development programs at a state or national scale, including successful background in developing STEM programs, Out-of-School Time (OST) programs, and multi-site programs
Demonstrated success in designing, scaling, and continuously improving programs in multiple sites or regions, with a focus on meaningful impact and the ability to balance innovation and realism
Proficiency with logic models, outcomes frameworks, and translating insights into practice; experience overseeing evaluation partners or internal monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts and leveraging data to inform program improvement over a multi-year horizon
Experience managing and developing program budgets, grant compliance, and operational planning (e.g. materials/kits, program calendars, staffing models)
Deep commitment to and credibility in educational equity work and culturally responsive practice, with a focus on closing access and opportunity gaps for girls and gender-expansive youth
Leads internal teams in way that affirms identity, respects and builds upon team expertise, and strengthens confidence
Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and leaders in development and operations, providing leadership for all program strategy, decisions, and execution in alignment with organizational mission and goals
Experience working across an organization to ensure effective collaboration and communication between program, development, and operations functions
7+ years of experience supervising staff, ideally including experience managing in a remote/virtual setting
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive leadership and an adaptive management approach; leads with empathy, a high level of emotional intelligence, and effective feedback as well as a focus on high performance
Ability to establish clarity around roles, decision-making, and performance expectations and to foster effective communication within a team and organization
Experience representing a program or organization to districts, funders, partners, and other constituencies, individually and/or in collaboration with other organizational leaders
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate program vision and outcomes into compelling narratives and confidence in public speaking
