Responsibilities

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Document inspection results and test data accurately and promptly in inspection records and digital applications
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain inspection records and ensure proper documentation in compliance with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 standards
Perform routine calibrations of testing and measurement equipment according to established schedules and procedures
Coordinate with equipment users to minimize downtime and ensure timely calibration of all instruments
Execute and document calibration activities accurately, maintaining comprehensive records in compliance with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 standards
Maintain and update the calibration database, ensuring all equipment is logged and tracked correctly

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years' experience in quality control, inspection, calibration, or a related field, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of inspection and calibration principles and familiarity with precision measuring instruments
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and calibration standards
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during inspection and calibration activities

Preferred

Associate degree or technical certification in a related field
