Responsibilities
Provides expert guidance and technical support to IT specialists regarding the requirements analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation for FBOP databases
Researches specific IT topics to evaluate alternatives. Integrates and uses the respective IT knowledge in the formulation of plans that meet operational objectives
Reviews code to ensure industry standards and best practices are met with a focus on business requirements
Develops complex queries, reports, dashboards, and designs report formats; carries out prototyping, develops code, tests, and implements it in the production environment
Architects data warehousing reporting solutions from conception to delivery consisting of analysis of high level design, data modeling, extract, transform, and load (ETL) development, user interface development, integration, and implementation, using the appropriate tools

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at this grade level
You must have IT related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to detail, Customer Service, Oral communication, Problem Solving
You must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled
Applicants applying for this position MUST also possess the following Selective Factor: Applicant must have a minimum of 6 year of DB2 z/OS database administration experience as well as prior experience with IBM Content Manager and WebSphere on a z/OS Mainframe platform

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
