Robert Half is partnering with a Milwaukee area client in the recruiting for an HR Operations Specialist to join their HR team. This role will support the onboarding of new employees and seamless operation of the HR team and the wider organization.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary administrator for HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, proper system functionality, and timely updates
Act as the in-house HRIS subject matter expert: managing system configurations, troubleshooting issues, and providing end-user support and training
Process employee data changes, onboarding, terminations, and other HR transactions efficiently within the HRIS
Generate regular and ad hoc reports for HR leadership and business partners, ensuring reliability and data integrity
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all internal and legal data retention requirements
Support benefits administration, payroll processes, and recruitment activities as a backup to other HR team members
Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Help prepare materials for audits and internal reviews as required
Participate in HR projects and initiatives designed to improve process efficiency and employee experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
1+ years working within an HRIS
Experience processing HR transactions and maintaining confidential employee information
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Knowledge of HR compliance best practices preferred
